Once I wanted to be an artist, a painter. Alas, it wasn't to be. No tragic accident though, oh no. Instead, I discovered that I could earn money from being a little precocious and singing a tune or two. More than this though, I discovered the guitar and the rest is history.......

I began my life as a semi-pro musician in 1979, playing bass guitar and singing in a cabaret band every weekend.  I was very young at the time and as such, by the time I moved onto session work and teaching in 1985, had done enough gigging to set me up for life.  Along with disciplined study and countless hours of sessions with a diverse range of musicians, I have also been fortunate enough to develope my skills in writing and composing music.  So, from this perspective, I hope this website helps to give you an idea of me as a musician.
